GERMANY – First Mustang Club of Germany

First Mustang Club of Germany e.V. – Die Gemeinschaft der Mustang-Enthusiasten

The First Mustang Club of Germany e.V. (FMCoG) is the first and largest Mustang club in Germany. Since its inception in 1985 , the Club has connected Mustang owners and fans from all over Germany and beyond to share and promote a common interest in this iconic vehicle. Originally founded to bring owners of the first Mustang generation together and support them in their search for spare parts, FMCoG quickly became a fixture in the German classic car and automotive community.

Goals and values of the FMCoG

The club’s goal is to create a vibrant and engaged community where Mustang lovers can share and support each other. Particularly important is the care and preservation of historic Ford Mustang models of the 1st generation. In the early years, member lists with addresses and telephone numbers were even distributed – an invaluable help at the time in times before the Internet.

Today, the FMCoG promotes contact between members through digital platforms social media (firstmustangclubofgermany),  and an informative website (www.mustangclub.de) .
It also organises events and offers a platform for technical advice as well as assistance with restoration and maintenance. A forum set up by members also contributes to the lively exchange. (www.mustang-inside.de)

In addition, the club attaches great importance to the promotion of Mustang culture in Germany and Europe. By exchanging ideas with other clubs and participating in international events, FMCoG contributes to the worldwide networking of the Mustang community.

Activities and events

The FMCG offers its members a variety of activities that make club life exciting and varied:

  • Club meetings & regulars’ tables: Regular meetings enable personal exchange among like-minded people.

  • Trips & Road Trips: Organized tours through charming landscapes and well-known roads offer driving pleasure and unforgettable experiences.
  • Trade fairs & exhibitions: FMCoG is present at various motor shows to present the Mustang to a broad public.

  • Technical workshops: Training and workshops (e.g. on carburetors, ignition, transmission, etc.) help members to better understand and maintain their vehicle. Experienced “Mustang mechanics” give newcomers practical help for self-help.

  • Whitsun meeting: Every year on the Whitsun weekend, the club organizes a big meeting for members and friendly clubs – a highlight of the club calendar.

  • Club News & Calendar: A club magazine is published three times a year, which is designed with the heart and soul of volunteers. At the end of the year, members will also receive a calendar with photos of their vehicles.

What’s special about the First Mustang Club of Germany

What makes FMCG unique is the family atmosphere and the close cohesion of the members. The club not only unites people with a passion for the Ford Mustang, but also creates friendships that go beyond the shared hobby.

A special highlight in 2025: FMCoG celebrates its 40th anniversary. Funnily enough, this anniversary was celebrated as part of the 43rd International Mustang Meeting – because there were already Mustang meetings before the official founding of the club.

Thanks to its long tradition, growing membership (now nearly 900!) and extensive network, the club provides an invaluable source of knowledge for all Mustang fans. Members benefit from exclusive benefits such as discounts with partners, access to specialized dealers and a strong community that supports each other.

Conclusion

The First Mustang Club of Germany e.V. is more than just an automobile club – it is an institution for Mustang enthusiasts and a home for all those who share the fascination of this unique vehicle. With a varied program of events, a committed community, in-depth technical expertise and a deep passion for the Ford Mustang, the FMCoG sets standards in the German Mustang scene.

If you don’t just want to drive the myth Mustang, but also experience it, you’ve come to the right place!

We are also pleased to have started a lively exchange with the European Mustang Club Association and wish the members of the community all the best and many more joint meetings at various meetings of the associations.
